What is a Digital Product Passport (DPP)?

Digital Product Passports are like virtual ID cards for products. Just like your ID contains key details about you, a DPP holds key information about a product. This includes things like:

Product Details: What is the product, how was it made, and what was it made from?
Lifecycle: How does the product effects the environment from creation to disposal?
Provenance: Where did the different components of the product come from? Are they sourced ethically?
Compliance: Does the product meet certain standards or regulations? (e.g: CE, UKCA, ISO)
Usage: How is the product intended to be used?
